Ted Williams Baseball Cards and Memorabilia |
Ted Williams strived to be the greatest hitter ever to play the game. Many consider that he was. The 'Splendid Splinter' played from 1939-1942, and 1946-1960, all with the Boston Red Sox. He lost some prime years of his career to military duty. For his career he hit .344 with 521 home runs. Ted Williams was one of the biggest stars baseball has ever seen, thus his baseball cards remain very popular and valuable today. In 1959, Fleer put out an entire set of Ted Williams cards, illustrating his life both in and out of baseball. These cards remain very popular today, and most are affordable to even the casual collector. |
