Back reads "Old Mill Base Ball Series Selection from Texas, South Atlantic Virginia and Southern Leagues". Listed with Lynchberg but "Smiling Al" pitched in the majors from 1895 to 1909 with the Phillies, Senators and Yankees (Nickabockers) ending with a record of 205-187 and a batting average of 276.
