Ichiro Suzuki, often referred to simply as 'Ichiro', is the first position player to play regularly for a Major League Baseball team. Ichiro played 9 years in Japan for the Orix Blue Wave before coming to the states with the Seattle Mariners. Ichiro set the all-time single season hit record in 2004 with 262 hits. His 2001 major league rookie cards are popular collectibles in Jpan as well as the United States.
