1952 Topps Baseball Cards |
In 1952, Topps released their first comprehensive set of baseball cards. The 407 card set was issued in two series. The 1952 Topps set is considered the first 'modern' baseball card set. It contains a player image, the player's team logo, and statistics. The 1952 Topps set is highlighted by the Mickey Mantle card, considered one of the most sought after cards in the baseball card hobby.
